شِرْذِمَة (širḏimaf (plural شَرَاذِم (šarāḏim))

  1. (negative connotation) a deplorable group of people; mob; herd
    كَانَ جَمِيعُ النَّاسِ رَافِضِينَ لِلْحَرْبِ سِوَىٰ شِرْذِمَةٍ مِنَ السِّيَاسِيِّينَ
    kāna jamīʕu n-nāsi rāfiḍīna lilḥarbi siwā širḏimatin mina s-siyāsiyyīn
    All people were against the war except a pack of politicians
