1. (obsolete) A kind of plum which is probably the gage Prunus domestica subsp. italica now called جَانَرِك (jānarik)
   • a. 1248, ابن البيطار [Ibn al-Bayṭār], الجامع لمفردات الأدوية والأغذية [De simplicibus medicinis opus magnum]:

     شاهلوك وشاهلوج: وهو الإجاص الأبيض. وفي الفلاحة النبطية: الشاهلوج إجاص كبير فاسد وأصله إجاص كبير فسد في منبته فاستحال إلى الصفرة وقد ذكرت الإجاص في حرف الألف.

     The gage: It is a white plum. And in the Nabataean agriculture it is big plum which rots fast and its stock is a big plum which rots in its planting place and changes its colour to yellow, it is talked about in the entry on plums at the letter alif.
