[edit]Borrowed from Aramaic סְנוּנִותׇא / ܣܢܽܘܢܺܝܬܳܐ (sənūniyatā), from Akkadian 𒋆𒄷 (/sinuntu/). Compare also Ugaritic 𐎒𐎐𐎐𐎚 (snnt), Hebrew סנונית (snunít).
