Etymology
[edit]Repatterned from زَمُكَّة (zamukka), زُمُوكَة (zamūka, “fundament of a bird”), ultimately an endlessly distorted word for a big batty found in Moroccan Arabic as زك (zukk, “arse”) and Yemeni Arabic زَبَان (zabān, “loins, abdomen”) and even Ge'ez ዘባን (zäban, “back”).
