Etymology

From خفیف (hafif, “light, not heavy”) +‎ ـلنمك (-lenmek, suffix forming passive infinitives from stems ending in front vowels).

Verb

خفیفلنمك • (hafiflenmek)

1. (intransitive) to become light or lighter in weight
2. (intransitive) to lighten up, to become less serious
