[edit]Inherited from Proto-Turkic *tasma (“leash, strap”); cognate with Azerbaijani tasma, Bashkir таҫма (taśma), Kazakh таспа (taspa), Kumyk тасма (tasma), Turkmen tasma and Uzbek tasma.
