فَعِيل (faʕīl)-type stative-verb derived from the active participle from the verb بَسَطَ (basaṭa, to extend). compare Assyrian Neo-Aramaic ܦܫܝܛܐ (pšiṭā) and Hebrew פָּשׁוּט (pashút).
