Alternative forms

Etymology

[edit]

Unclear; perhaps a borrowing from Arabic بِطَانَة (biṭāna, inside, innings; lining), but the semantic gap is problematic[1]. If so, doublet of بطانه (bıtane, lining).

Noun

[edit]

بادانه (badana) (definite accusative بادانه‌یی (badanayı), plural بادانه‌لر (badanalar))

  1. whitewash, limewash, calcimine, a lime and water mixture for painting walls and fences bright white
