Inherited from Proto-Turkic *ẹ̄rte (morning); cognate with Azerbaijani ertə, Bashkir иртә (irtə), Kazakh ерте (erte), Kyrgyz эрте (erte), Turkmen erte, Uyghur ئەرتە (erte), Uzbek erta and Yakut эрдэ (erde).
