Inherited from Prakrit 𑀅𑀦𑁆𑀥𑀬 (andhaya), from Sanskrit अन्ध (andha) + Middle Indo-Aryan -𑀓- (-ka-). Cognate with Sindhi انڌو (andho), Hindustani अंधा / اندھا (andhā).
