[edit]Borrowed from Arabic إِكْرَام (ʔikrām, “honoring”), verbal noun of أَكْرَمَ (ʔakrama, “to dignify, honor”).

- honoring, the act of showing honor, respect, or veneration to someone
- welcoming, the act of giving a kind welcome to a guest or newcomer
