Etymology
[edit]Inherited from Proto-Turkic *esne- (“to yawn”); cognate with Old Turkic 𐰾𐰤𐰀 (esne-), Azerbaijani əsnəmək, Chuvash анасла (anasla), Kazakh есінеу (esıneu), Tatar иснәү (isnäw), Uyghur ئەسنىمەك (esnimek) and Uzbek esnamoq.
