[edit]Inherited from Proto-Turkic *erük (“plum, apricot”); cognate with Bashkir өрөк (örök), Kazakh өрік (örık), Kyrgyz өрүк (örük), Turkmen erik, Uyghur ئۆرۈك (örük) and Uzbek oʻrik.
