[edit]Inherited from Old Punjabi ਆਖਣੁ (ākhaṇu), from Apabhramsa 𑆃𑆑𑇀𑆒𑆅 (akkhaï), from Prakrit 𑀅𑀓𑁆𑀔𑀇 (akkhaï), 𑀅𑀓𑁆𑀔𑀸𑀇 (akkhāi), from Sanskrit आख्याति (ākhyāti).
