רֵיקָם (rekám)

  1. Having nothing at hand.
    • Tanach, Genesis 31:42, with translation of the Jewish Publication Society:
      לוּלֵי אֱלֹהֵי אָבִי [] הָיָה לִי כִּי עַתָּה רֵיקָם שִׁלַּחְתָּנִי
      lulé elohé aví [] háya lí kí atá rekám shilachtáni
      Except the G-d of my father [] had been on my side, surely now hadst thou sent me away empty.

      וְלֹא יֵרָאֶה אֶת פְּנֵי יהוה רֵיקָם
