[edit]Unknown. Theorized by Edward Lipinski to be related to Akkadian 𒄩𒈪𒈛𒄭 (ḫamiluḫḫi),[1] itself likely a borrowing from Hurrian [script needed] (ḫalvi, “enclosure”)[2]
