סַלְמוֹן (sálmonm (plural indefinite סַלְמוֹנִים, singular construct סַלְמוֹן־, plural construct סַלְמוֹנֵי־)

  1. (zoology) salmon (one of several species of fish, typically of the Salmoninae subfamily, brownish above with silvery sides and delicate pinkish-orange flesh; they ascend rivers to spawn)
