   .בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה ה׳ אֱלֹהֵינוּ מֶלֶךְ הָעוֹלָם אֲשֶׁר קִדְּשָׁנוּ בְּמִצְוֹתָיו וְצִוָּנוּ עַל נְטִילַת יָדָיִם

   Barúkh atá adonáy elohéynu mélekh ha-olám ashér kid'shánu b'mitsvotáv v'tsivánu al n'tilát yadáyim.

   Blessed are You, LORD our God, King of the universe, Who has sanctified us with His commandments and commanded us concerning handwashing.

   .נְטִילַת יָדַיִים הִיא מִצְוַת טִיהוּר הַיָּדַיִם בְּאֶמְצָעוּת שְׁטִיפָה, עַל פִּי הַמְּקֻבָּל בַּהֲלָכָה הַיְּהוּדִית

   N'tilát yadáyim hi mitzvát tihúr ha-yadáyim b-emtza'út shtifáh, al pi ha-mkubál ba-halakháh ha-yhudit.

   Ritual handwashing is a commandment of purification of the hands through washing, as passed down per Jewish law.
