מיתן / מִתֵּן • (mitén) (pi'el construction, passive counterpart מותן / מֻתַּן)

1. to moderate, to tone down, to curb, to restrain, to mitigate

   מִתַּנּוּ אֶת דְּעוֹתֵינוּ. ― mitánu 'et d'otéinu ― We toned downed our opinions.
