יִשְׁמְעוּ • (yishm'ú) (Biblical Hebrew pausal form יִשְׁמָעוּ (yishmá'u))

1. Third-person masculine plural future (prefix conjugation) of שָׁמַע (shamá).
   • Tanach, Exodus 4:1:

     לֹא יַאֲמִינוּ לִי וְלֹא יִשְׁמְעוּ בְּקֹלִי

     ló yaamínu lí v'ló yishm'ú b'kolí

     they will not believe me and they will not listen to my voice

   • Tanach, Psalms 115:6, with translation of the King James Version:

     אָזְנַיִם לָהֶם וְלֹא יִשְׁמָעוּ

     oznáyim lahém v'ló yishmáu

     They have ears, but they hear not
