1. (archaic form) (And) (he/it) gave: third-person masculine singular vav-consecutive imperfect (hence past tense) of נָתַן (natán).
   • Tanach, Exodus 2:21:

     וַיִּתֵּן אֶת צִפֹּרָה בִתּוֹ לְמֹשֶׁה

     vayitén et tziporá vitó l'moshé

     and he gave Moses Zipporah his daughter
