1. (וַיַּאַסְפוּ, vayaasfú) Third-person masculine plural vav-consecutive imperfect (hence past tense) of אָסַף (asáf).
   • Tanach, Exodus 4:29, with translation of the King James Version:

     וַיַּאַסְפוּ אֶת־כָּל־זִקְנֵי בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל

     vayaasfú et-kol-zikné b'né yisraél

     and gathered together all the elders of the children of Israel

2. (וַיֵּאָסְפוּ) Third-person masculine plural vav-consecutive imperfect (hence past tense) of נאסף.
