הֵדִיחַ • (hedíakh) (hif'il construction)

1. to rinse
   • Tanach, 2 Chronicles 4:6, with translation of the English Standard Version:

     אֶת־מַעֲשֵׂה הָעוֹלָה יָדִיחוּ בָם, וְהַיָּם לְרָחְצָה לַכֹּהֲנִים בּוֹ.

     et-ma'asé ha'olá yadíkhu vam, v'hayám l'rakhtsá lakohaním bo.

     In these they were to rinse off what was used for the burnt offering, and the sea was for the priests to wash in.
