1. (biblical, rare) to soar, fly
   • Tanach, Daniel 39:26, with translation of the Jewish Publication Society:

     הֲמִבִּינָתְךָ יַאֲבֶר־נֵץ יִפְרֹשׂ כְּנָפָו לְתֵימָן׃

     hamibinat'khá ya'aver-néts yifrós k'nafáv l'teimán.
     hămibbīnāṯəḵā yaʾăḇer-nēṣ yip̄rōś kənāp̄āw ləṯēmān.

     Doth the hawk soar by thy wisdom, and stretch her wings toward the south?
