דָּאָה • (da'á) (pa'al construction)

To soar. Modern sense: To glide
- Tanach, Psalms 18:11, with translation of the New International Version:
  וַיִּרְכַּב עַל כְּרוּב וַיָּעֹף; וַיֵּדֶא עַל כַּנְפֵי רוּחַ.
  vayyirkáv 'al kərúv vayya'óf; vayyéde 'al kanfḗ rúaḥ.
  He mounted the cherubim and flew; he soared on the wings of the wind.
