քրթմնջեմ

From Wiktionary, the free dictionary

Old Armenian

[edit]

Etymology

[edit]

Probably from *մունջ- (*munǰ-, to mutter, murmur), from մունջ (munǰ). The origin of *քրթ- (*kʻrtʻ-) is obscure; it may be related to *քորթ- (*kʻortʻ-) of շողոքորթ (šołokʻortʻ). The whole word has also been compared to Hittite 𒃼𒁲𒈪𒄿𒀀𒀜𒋫𒊑 (kardimiyattari, to be angry)
