1. Pharmouthi (the eight month of the Ancient Egyptian calendar)
   • 5th century, with changes and additions in later centuries, Baroyaxōs [Physiologus] Earliest recension (TR).10.2–3:

     Է թռչուն ինչ ի հնդիկս, որ կոչի փիւնիքս։ Ըստ հինգհարիւր ամին գայ ի ծառսն Լիբանանու եւ լնու զերկոսին թեւսն իւր խնկաւք. եւ երթայ ազդ առնէ քրմին Արեգ քաղաքի ի յամսեան պայեմոդի կամ ի փարմոդի (var. փարմութի, փարմոդէ, պարմոփի, պարմափիւր, պատմիփի), այսինքն արեգ կամ ի կանխոց։

     Ē tʻṙčʻun inčʻ i hndiks, or kočʻi pʻiwnikʻs. Əst hinghariwr amin gay i caṙsn Libananu ew lnu zerkosin tʻewsn iwr xnkawkʻ. ew ertʻay azd aṙnē kʻrmin Areg kʻałakʻi i yamsean payemodi kam i pʻarmodi (var. pʻarmutʻi, pʻarmodē, parmopʻi, parmapʻiwr, patmipʻi), aysinkʻn areg kam i kanxocʻ.

       There is a bird in India called phoenix. Every five hundred years it comes to the trees of Lebanon and fills both its wings with incense, and goes to inform the priest of Heliopolis, in the month Phamenoth or Pharmuthi, that is Areg or the preceding months [i.e. Meheki].
