Usage notes
[edit]The place of attestation of the "millipede or centipede" sense is unknown. It is found in the dictionary Aṙjeṙn baṙaran defined as բազմոտանի պզտի ճըճի՝ դեղնաշորթ (bazmotani pzti čəči, deġnašortʻ, “many-legged small worm which is yellowish”) and glossed with Turkish kırkayak.[4] It is also found in Kʻaǰuni's encyclopedia, where it is described as a type of scolopendre (in French), which “walks on walls of our habitations”.[5][6]
