[edit]The older spelling is ծկոյթ (ckoytʻ), from *ծլկոյթ (*clkoytʻ), from *ծուլկոյթ (*culkoytʻ), borrowed from a Georgian-Zan language: compare Laz წულუ კითი (ǯulu ǩiti, “pinky”, literally “small finger”).
