From Parthian *ham-bōδ; compare Parthian 𐫀𐫖𐫁𐫇𐫏𐫀𐫅 (ʾmbwyʾd /⁠ambōyād⁠/, kissed). For the constituents see համ- (ham-) and բոյր (boyr).
