կշտամբանակ (kštambanak) — misspelling, confused with կշտամբանք (kštambankʻ)

Etymology

Literally, "side-guardian" or "side-sover", wholly borrowed from an unattested Iranian compound equivalent to կուշտ (kušt) +‎ -ապանակ (-apanak). Old Georgian კუშტაბანი (ḳušṭabani, “buttonhole”) is from the same source.

Usage notes

In the Bible, translates Ancient Greek περιδέξιον (peridéxion, “armlet for the right arm”). In the Physiologus, glosses the same word.
