արբեկ
Appearance
Old Armenian
[edit]Etymology
[edit]Ačaṙyan leaves the origin open and does not record any attempts on etymology. According to J̌ahukyan, if reliable it may go back to Proto-Indo-European *h₂(e)bʰro- (“strong, mighty”), whence արբուն (arbun), + -եկ (-ek), post-classical form of -եակ (-eak).
Adjective
[edit]արբեկ • (arbek)
Usage notes
[edit]A hapax attested only in Baṙgirkʻ hayocʻ, it may be unreliable.
