Cognate with Old Turkic [script needed] (Ülkär, “Pleiades”); Kazakh Үркер (Ürker), Kyrgyz Үркөр (Ürkör), Kumyk Уьлкер (Ülker), Uzbek Hulkar, Azerbaijani Ülkər, Turkish Ülker, Khakas Ӱлгер (Ülger), Yakut Үргэл (Ürgel, “Pleiades”).
