Cognate with Old Uyghur [script needed] (yarïm, “half”); Kazakh жарым (jarym), Southern Altai јарым (ǰarïm), Uzbek yarim, Azerbaijani yarım, Khakas чарым (çarım), Tuvan чарым (çarım, “half”).
