ьi

  1. The combination of the two Cyrillic letters ь and i used to write the letter Ы using the Ukrainian keyboard layout.

Usage notes

[edit]

Due to the fact that the Ukrainian keyboard layout does not have a separate key for the letter Ы, which is present in the alphabets of the Russian, Belarusian languages, as well as non-Slavic languages using Cyrillic, but is not present in the Ukrainian alphabet, Ukrainian Internet users who have only English and Ukrainian keyboard layouts can type the letters Ы only by consecutively typing the two Cyrillic letters Ь and І to form the letter Ы, only for writing words and expressions in Russian.
