Borrowed from Mongolic, either Written Oirat ᠴᠠᠰᠠᡎ (zasag) or Classical Mongolian ᠵᠠᠰᠠᠭ (ǰasag). Compare also Southern Altai јазак (ǰazak); Russian яса́к m inan (jasák); etc.

Also could be analysed as the nominal form of чазаар (çazaar, to govern).
