Internationalism from the roots of Ancient Greek ὁμός (homós, same, like) +‎ Latin sexuālis (sexual) +‎ -ен (-en, adjectival suffix). Equivalently, formed from хомо- (homo-, homo-) +‎ сексуа́лен (seksuálen, sexual).
