[edit]Inherited from Old Ruthenian такожъ (takož), такоже (takože), from Old East Slavic тако же (tako že). By surface analysis, так(о) (tak(o)) + ж (ž). Compare Russian та́кже (tákže), Polish także and Polish takoż.
