Kildin Sami

[edit]From Proto-Samic *suojē, possibly from Proto-Finnic *sooja, ultimately from Proto-Indo-Iranian *śćaHyáH.
Related to Finnish suoja. Cognates include Northern Sami suodji, Skolt Sami suẹʹjj and Ter Sami сыэйя (sïejʼâ).
