- (intransitive) to arrive, to reach
- сцигли дому нєскоро вечар ― scihli domu njeskoro večar ― they arrived home late in the evening
- сцигнул на циль остатнї ― scihnul na cilʹ ostatnji ― he reached the finish line last
- (transitive) to catch up [with dative ‘with’]
- сцигол го и обегнул ― scihol ho i obehnul ― he reached and overtook him
- (intransitive) to manage, to have time, to get [with infinitive ‘to do something’]
