п-слюр

Ukrainian
[edit]Etymology
[edit]п (p) + слюр (sljur), literally meaning "p-slur". Compare f-word, which hides a similar slur, the word "faggot".
Pronunciation
[edit]Noun
[edit]п-слю́р • (p-sljúr) m inan (genitive п-слю́ра, nominative plural п-слю́ри, genitive plural п-слю́рів)
- (euphemistic, neologism) the words "підара́с (pidarás)" or "пі́дар (pídar)" (both meaning "faggot"), either one of these two offensive slurs.
Usage notes
[edit]This term is used to avoid using the original slurs, out of respect for LGBT people.
