[edit]From Ancient Greek ψυχή (psukhḗ) and θερᾰπείᾱ (therapeíā). By surface analysis, психо- (psyxo-) + терапі́я (terapíja). Compare Russian психотерапи́я (psixoterapíja), Belarusian псіхатэрапі́я (psixaterapíja), Polish psychoterapia.
