отребье
Appearance
Russian
[edit]Etymology
[edit]Associated with тереби́ть (terebítʹ). The presence of ⟨ре⟩ instead of ⟨ере⟩ is associated with the late loss of the pre-stressed vowel, or is associated with Old Novgorod or Old Pskov liquid metathesis.[1]
