[edit]Inherited from Old Slovak oblak, oblok, from oblý (“round, curved”). False friend of Serbo-Croatian облак / oblak and Slovak oblak (“cloud”) (i.e. unrelated to Proto-Slavic *obolkъ), but rather cognate with Hungarian ablak, Serbo-Croatian облок / oblok, and Slovak oblok.
