Pannonian Rusyn

[edit]From нумер (numer) + -нїк (-njik). Possibly a calque of Serbo-Croatian бројчаник/brojčanik. Compare also Slovak ciferník, all derived semantically from German Zifferblatt (literally “digit leaf”).
