[edit]From New Latin neurologia, from Ancient Greek νεῦρον (neûron, “sinew, tendon, cord”) + -логія (-lohija) from Ancient Greek -λογία (-logía, “study of”). Compare Russian невроло́гия (nevrológija), Belarusian неўрало́гія (njeŭralóhija), Polish neurologia.
