Usage notes

мину́ть with the meaning "to pass (of time)" or "to go past" can have past stress either ми́нул (mínul) or мину́л (minúl), whereas with the meaning "to turn (an age)" it can only have the past stress as ми́нул (mínul). In either case the past active participle is only мину́вший (minúvšij).
