[edit]diminutive of *лахманина (*laxmanina), from *лахманъ (*laxman), from Proto-Slavic *laxmanъ. By surface analysis, *лахманъ (*laxman) + -ина (-ina) + -ка (-ka).
Compare modern Belarusian лахма́н (laxmán), лахмані́на (laxmanína); Ukrainian ла́хма́н (láxmán), лахмани́на (laxmanýna); Polish łachman.
