кършей
Appearance
Bulgarian
[edit]Etymology
[edit]Formally reflects *krъšьjь as if from кръш (krǎš, “fracture, breaking”) (dialectal) + -ей (-ej). Given its usage, though, probably the word is a recent formation formed as a conflation of Bulgarian къ́рша (kǎ́rša, “to fracture, to break, to bend”) and Bulgarian къ́шей (kǎ́šej, “piece, bite”).
