Macedonian

[edit]

Etymology

[edit]

Contraction кој (koj) and има (ima).

Pronunciation

[edit]
  • (Bitola) IPA(key): /ˈkɒjmɐ/, /ˈko̞jmɐ/

Contraction

[edit]

којма (kojma)

  1. (regional, Bitola) Who is there
  2. (regional, Bitola) Who are there
  3. (regional, Bitola) Who does he/she/it have

Usage notes

[edit]

This word conjugates like има (ima) does in the present, perfect and imperfect in the Bitola dialect when used. The endings are the same as in standard Macedonian with the exception of:

  • -ат instead of -аат in the third person plural present tense
  • -аја instead of -аа in the third person plural imperfect

Forms for anything other than the present, perfect and imperfect don't exist and sound nonsensical if used.
